Possible Duplicate:
Blog editor software?

I regularly blog on both Wordpress and Blogger platform and as such, desktop clients are far more convenient than browser based clients. When I used Windows, I was using a desktop blogging client called Windows Live Writer. Are there any Ubuntu alternatives for blogging clients available?

Features expected:

  • Multiple blog support
  • Post drafts to the blog
  • Save drafts locally
  • Add tags / categories
  • Upload media

In terms of functionality, scribefire.com appears to be one of the best, but unfortunately it is browser based. –  Liam William Nov 12 '11 at 20:13
I'm looking for something similar. Blogilo's development is slow, and it posts as if I've scheduled my posts when I haven't. I need something that will just work :). –  RolandiXor Nov 12 '11 at 20:42

If you open the Software Center, the Internet category contains a few clients. Just search for "blog".

Gnome-Blog, Drivel and Lekhonee have the most stars, although all seem to have negative comments.

Since I do not use a blogging client (just a spare-time search), it would not be fair to recommend any based on my experience. But I'm sure someone could step in and answer according to the requirements. –  lgarzo Nov 14 '11 at 10:43
But there doesn't seem to be a dedicated app for blogger. –  Kanthala Raghu Aug 9 '14 at 10:30
