I had install Ubuntu 11.10 on asus 1001px and I don have sounds. How can I fix it?

Try running alsamixer from a terminal, and checking that nothing is muted. You mute/unmute by pressing M. – Elvis Stressborg Nov 11 '11 at 10:13
