Why can't I open the gnome-terminal (version 3.18.3-1ubuntu1 on Ubuntu 16.04) any more?

The error message is this:

Please check if there are still runnung processes of gnome-terminal. If so kill them and then try to start it again.

Please tell us the version of your gnome-terminal (output of: `apt-cache policy gnome-terminal'). Paste the information and your Ubuntu version in the original post.

No, I have reboot many times.

So you can open a new gnome-terminal window using the Unity launcher/Dash, but you can't start a new instance from inside the terminal, right?
