I'm currently using GNOME Shell. Is there away to turn off the notifications while having my status as available? I personally feel that the message notification is kinda annoying, and, if I turn it off, my status is automatically set to busy.

@WarriorIng64, yes, is there a way to do so? – user32357 Nov 5 '11 at 3:08
So, what you're asking for is a way to turn off the GNOME Shell notifications while still being marked as Available for chat, correct? – Christopher Kyle Horton Nov 5 '11 at 3:10
sorry, i couldn't find the comment option just now. – user32357 Nov 5 '11 at 3:20

Well, that seems odd. I went and asked Meta about that, because apparently you don't have the edit link or anything else either. This might be a bug; I have posted your issue here. – Christopher Kyle Horton Nov 5 '11 at 4:10
