My network-manager keeps shuttind down every 30 seconds or so, and my wired connection(pppoe) keeps disconecting.

So I have to run sudo service network-manager restart every 30 seconds. Does anyone have any clue why and how I can fix this?

I had a similar problem which I solved with the instructions at:

Welcome to Ask Ubuntu! Whilst this may theoretically answer the question, it would be preferable to include the essential parts of the answer here, and provide the link for reference. Imagine the linked site goes down for maintenance or forever - your answer would become worthless. – htorque Nov 2 '11 at 18:25
