I need to make some tutorials and I'm having a lot of problems in Ubuntu 11.10 64bits + GNOME Shell.

  • Tibesti doesn't work.
  • Kazam doesn't work too.
  • gtk-recordmydesktop doesn't work on GNOME Shell (didn't try on Unity)

So I'm considering using Wine and a Windows screencaster. Any suggestion would be appreciated. :)

The built-in software in GNOME Shell (by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R) works really well, but it doesn't record my voice -- it only works with video.

maybe this askubuntu.com/q/151935/56440 will be useful. The ppa cited has amd64 packages. –  josinalvo Jun 21 '12 at 18:40
