When i mark more than one file i can't rename them so this: DSC_001 DSC_002 becomes this: Picture (1) Picture (2) ect...

AND

I can't change the default application for picture editing with a custom command, and NO! I DON'T WANNA USE ANY COMMAND PROMPT THING

I dont know about bulk renaming but to change your default application yyou can use Ubuntu Tweak! EDIT: you can use Thunar File Manager instead of Nautilus. Thunar has inbuilt capabilities for bulk rename with GUI – sarveshlad Oct 23 '11 at 17:01
