I'm tried to figure out what's wrong, but I didn't find an answer. P.S. I don't use a proxy.

  • Yes I'm using my laptop. Dec 15, 2015 at 1:32
  • Hmm, it looks like apt is trying to connect with IPv6, which is strange. Dec 15, 2015 at 1:32
  • See if you can disable that in Settings. Dec 15, 2015 at 1:33
  • How can I do that? Dec 15, 2015 at 1:34

To disable IPv6 support under Ubuntu, edit the following file: /etc/sysctl.conf.

net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6=1
net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6=1
net.ipv6.conf.lo.disable_ipv6=1

Adding these lines will disable IPv6 support (in loopback), a default for all etginterfaces available. You will need to reboot the network interfaces:

/etc/init.d/networking restart
1
  • Also, selecting "ignore" under ipv6 settings on my connection's settings, fixed my problem.
