I was using Banshee and it crashed and caused the whole system to crash (pretty disappointing). I waited a few minutes and nothing happened, so I used the power button to turn off my laptop. I booted Ubuntu again and when checking my file system it found some errors and gave me the options to choose to ignore, fix automatically and fix manually and I chose automatic fix. A reboot again and on the load page of Ubuntu (with 5 dots turning red and white) it simply stopped. And that's the farthest I can go now with booting. I currently use 11.10 version. I have had exactly the same problem with file system error on my /home partition on Ubuntu 9.10 and could fix it through manually running fsck or e2fsck, but here it asks me for the root password, but I haven't enabled the root account so I simply can't run it. Ridiculous. I could use my normal password instead of root pwd on 9.10.

Anyways, what should I do now?
