I've got an Acer laptop with Intel core i5, nVidia Geforce GT 330M (and an intel vga chip) and 4gb memory. I do love Ubuntu and want to run Ubuntu on my system but can't seem to.

The problem I have when installing is getting my graphics to work. At first in 10.10 I got the black screen of death and in 11.10 I get video tearing when watching a video. My laptop also gets hotter than it does, could this be because of the switchable graphics?

How can I fix this because I really want to run ubuntu.

Thanx!
