I have a fresh install of Ubuntu 11.10 - 32bits on my Asus laptop K52F.

I have a Xerox Phaser 3117 printer - this is recognized by the system (same thing for Lubuntu 11.04). The problem appears whenever i try to print a PDF file - more exactly - i am able to print 1 one page and after that the printer doesn't take next pages in. I know its related to the printing system - CUPS - i received some updates with it - but this has not been improved and i don't know what to do. I even changed the printer driver to Samsung ML1210 - which i know is working fine with my Xerox Phaser - no result.

ODT documents are printing just fine. PDF files are printing just fine in Lubuntu 11.04 no matter the application i choose. For 11.10 i installed besides Evince, Acrobat Reader 9.4.2, Foxit Reader etc. - but with no result.

Let me know if you have any ideas,

P.S. More people seem to have different printing issues with Ubuntu 11.10 - see here - http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=11351928
