Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

After upgrading to 11.10 I have an issue when loading a new flash video.

When the video loads, the audio and video gets stuck in fast forward, going at about the same speed as the loading bar. After a few seconds it comes back to normal speed, and resumes playing the video from that point on, usually a few minutes from the start of the video.

Manually rewinding the video restarts it as per normal, though the issue can repeat itself when the loading starts over.

I've had problems with flash before. I asked this question: Flash player + YouTube HD = crashing plugin and didn't quite solve the problem, but the workaround was using Chromium instead of Firefox.

Firefox still crashes HD videos. Computer specs same as in my old question.

I have checked other questions on this topic, and seen there are a lot of other issues with flash and 11.10, but haven't seen anything similar to my problem.
