During the installation my Display (a 22" Samsung Widescreen, 1680x1050) is recognized and works perfectly.

but after the installation, when the system has booted and i landed on the desktop, the resolution is just wrong (1280x720) and when i try to change it my monitor wich is reconized during the entire installation process correctly is now an unknown monitor.

i tried to reboot serveral times (12 or so...) changed the DVI Ports an the Graphics card (It's an Nvidia GeForce GTX 260) but just nothing...

the Monitor is sill an unknown Monitor and the System don't give me the option to change the resolution above 1280x768.

Have you installed the nvidia drivers? Look for "Additional Drivers" in your dash and install the drivers for your card.
