well im new to ubuntu while trying to upgrade to 11.10 from 11.04 after downloading using update manager the system crashed and i had to manually restart.now the boot screen stops at checking battery [ok] or some other check and none of my drivers are being detected .please help me.i have then upgraded to 11.10

Try booting in recovery mode and select xfix. This may solve your X11.
