It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. This a VERY vague question. Please consider editing your question and adding more details - let us know what you think happens, what "os level details" you're expecting, and any other details to explain ultimately what you would like to have answered. Once you've edited your question leave a comment or flag the post and it will be reviewed for reopening! – Marco Ceppi Oct 15 '11 at 12:56

I think that you are asking the wrong question. You should ask: Where can I find information that will help me to do research into how the ubuntu operating system is put together?

Here is one link.

Ubuntu and Debian

Ubuntu development teams

It is a start.
