I just upgraded from 11.04 to 11.10; I'm able to adjust the brightness but even the max brightness is not sufficient.
Even though i'm using ubuntu for a long time, i'm just a novice user. Please help! Thanks in advance.

I had the exact same problem on my N150 but the Fn keys didn't actually do anything for me at all. I think you'll need to add the 'Linux On My Samsung' ppa provided by Voria and install the 'samsung-backlight' and 'samsung-tools' packages. The ppa can be found here: https://launchpad.net/~voria/+archive/ppa Installation instructions can be found here: http://www.voria.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=296 Although the site shows 9.10 and 10.04 I wouldn't worry since I installed it on 11.04 with no issues. If you're uncertain or are having problems I'd recommend asking on their forums (http://www.voria.org/forum/). Hope this helps! :) | |||
