Why does Ubuntu One ask you to install CouchDB for Thunderbird, especially if you still are unable to sync your contacts with Thunderbird? When can we finally get support for one of the top most used email clients in Ubuntu One?

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. For help clarifying this question so that it can be reopened, see the FAQ.

Ubuntu One doesn't really care about the contents of your databases. It's up to Thunderbird to use the database properly and then Ubuntu One will sync it. It's a shame that it doesn't work properly, but it will -- sooner or later. Obviously, things have a tendency to not fix themselves, so if you're enthusiastic, then join the party. :) |
