If I open a file in gedit from nautilus, and then open another file (from nautilus or a bash shell), the file opens in the same instance of gedit.

Also, editing a file in gedit using bzr explorer opens a new instance of gedit as well.
What I'd like (ideally) is for gedit to use the existing instance if it's available. Any clues how to do that?
Tested on 11.04 amd64.
