My setup is a follows:

  • 19" 1440x900 monitor on my nVidia 460 GTX
  • 17" 1280x1024 monitor on the internal nVidia card

Now, I am able to get a xserver running on both monitors, but I am trying to figure out how to get the two monitors to function like they do in windows (where you can drag windows from one monitor to the other)? When I try to enable Xinerama, I get a message along the lines of "The current settings can not be completely applied due to ... Xinerama is being enabled...". What should I be doing/Put in my xorg.conf file or am I completely missing something?
