After accidental compressing and subsequent decompressing wubi disk under Windows, GRUB does not boot UBUNTU any longer... Have only GRUB prompt waiting for my input. Windows boots fine.

Please run boot info script as explained here: ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1291280 and post the RESULTS.txt. – Jordan Uggla Aug 8 '11 at 20:01
How can I run this script if I have neither ubuntu nor LiveCD? – bakhteiarov Aug 8 '11 at 20:27
You could try pointing the tool from ext2read.blogspot.com at the root.disk and see if it is able to read it. – bcbc Aug 8 '11 at 21:10
Thanks, bcbc, what's next? I got my root.disk open by this tool and see the content. I can: 1) copy all my stuff to Windoz and recreate WUBI disk and copy my stuff back in; 2) change something on root.disk to boot the UBUNTU; I would prefer the later one, but, of course, can use more convoluted 1st approach. – bakhteiarov Aug 10 '11 at 17:18
