I have a Dell Mini 910. There is no Windows on it so the laptop can't power on. I created a bootable USB with Ubuntu 11.04 and I'm trying to install it, but I have a problem. The hard drive of the Dell is 8 GiB and Ubuntu wants at least 4.4GB to install. So, the installation progress stacks because there is not that much free space. So I would like help on how to clean my hard disc in order to have more free space to install Ubuntu!

Well, 8GB is a good deal more then 4.4GB, so there shouldn't be any problems. Why is there not much free space? Have you partitioned the drive, and if so, then how? – mikewhatever Jul 14 '11 at 23:58

What do you mean "free space"? If there's no Windows, there's no need to free space. Just install Ubuntu... – Jacob Johan Edwards Feb 2 '12 at 22:13
