The last update of Shotwell is causing me troubles while updating my system. I tried with sudo apt-get install -f and I got this error message:

Is there any chance of fixing this?

I submited question on Launchpad and got answer, so just in case someone else have similar problem here is how I solved it:

sudo dpkg --force-all -i /var/cache/apt/archives/shotwell_0.18.1-1~trusty1_i386.deb

  • This worked for me using the Yorba ppa on 64bit: sudo dpkg --force-all -i /var/cache/apt/archives/shotwell_0.18.1-1~trusty1_amd64.deb Aug 10, 2014 at 6:26

I have installed shotwell_0.18.1 successfully, by running these commands:`

sudo apt-get remove --purge shotwell*
sudo apt-get install shotwell
