Ok so I tried to change my GDM wallpaper and none of my own will work. I also tried to change some image of my unity panel, like the indicators and the search files and apps icons and they won't work at all. I tried to change my GIMP splash screen and my ubuntutweak splash screen but none work. It's a fresh install of natty and i didn't use to have this problem on my previous install of natty.

Are you opening them as a superuser? – nickguletskii Jun 18 '11 at 18:34
You don't own those folders, root does, so run whatever application you used to edit the images as root and the changes will take effect. – Uri Herrera Jun 18 '11 at 19:31
Yes I am, I did it a terminal, with sudo nautilus and with root as a user, and nothing work – Joël Roy Jun 18 '11 at 23:04
Found the problem myself, thanks anyway – Joël Roy Jun 20 '11 at 14:22
