New in the Linux community I'm having issue :) To be honest with you I've already tested a lot of Linux distribution.
- Kubuntu
- OpenSUSE
- ... all in version 11.04.
The problem: I'm having a Wifi chipset using the b43 fwcutter / driver. This is correctly installed but the Wifi keep disconnecting. It's for that unique reason that I've decided to reinstall Windows 7 next to Ubuntu to be sure that I can have a stable access.
I've a Broadcom 4318 version using the following description in Ubuntu:
Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller [14e4:4318] (rev 02)
More info: When I check all how to install b43, the driver is supposed to be listed in the additional driver under the administration menu. This is for me not the case but the WiFi is working.
Please note that I've to switch OFF the wifi via the button and then to switch it to ON to get back the connection.
Any suggestions to fix this?
