Logitech gamepad controller works in Ubuntu 11.04 but does not work with Minecraft. I have tried Minecontrol which supports windows/mac/linux and is used to make Minecraft compatible with a usb controller however, it cannot locate the USB controller. Any suggestions?

Not sure if Minecraft has native gamepad support, but you should be able to make it work via mouse/keyboard emulation via qjoypad or xboxdrv.
