did you enable the appropriate ppa ? – bodhi.zazen Jun 2 '14 at 20:56

Try running:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

When this has run its course try wireshark again:

sudo apt-get install wireshark

and hopefully this will be enough, otherwise we will have to dig a little deeper...
