I am using the Mind Mapping software XMind

After installing it, I find that it does not set the correct file association. Its detected as a ZIP. How can I fix this?

I could do the below, ...

... even then, it seem to open XMind but not the file ... perhaps an XMind problem ... THe main thing is now all zip files are opened by XMind, which does not work ... How do I fix this? Why is xmind detected as a ZIP?

Right-click a .zip-file, choose properties, go to the Open width tab, and choose Archive Manager (Fileroller).

Just installed XMind btw, no such problem here. ANyway, it seems like a great program! I'll see if it's better than FreeMind :p This will come in handy as I'll start my exams tomorrow. Thanks. – RobinJ Jun 6 '11 at 14:49
@RobinJ, thats wierd, I too downloaded the latest XMind from their site. I am using Ubuntu 11.04. Any difference with you? – Jiew Meng Jun 6 '11 at 15:12
Tho your method will also revert the problem file assication for xmind – Jiew Meng Jun 6 '11 at 15:13
I'm using Linux Mint 10, wich is based on Ubuntu 10.10. ... It will "revert the problem".... That's good I suppose? – RobinJ Jun 6 '11 at 17:21
@RobinJ, I mean I'm back to square one with regards to the wrong file assiciation for xmind. I guess its better than having zip open with xmind. – Jiew Meng Jun 7 '11 at 13:05
