I tried to install source code for unity using apt-get source unity. I get the following result in the terminal.

Need to get 1,375 kB of source archives.

It appears the answer is in your posted results. It looks like you are using the wrong repository. I believe you need to remove the excellmedia.net repository, then be sure you have lauchpad.net repository listed in your System Settings > Software & Updates. Then try again. –  RCF-U14.04 May 27 at 7:00

Did you recently add a ppa? If you have remove the ppa using sudo add-apt-repository -r <ppa>. –  i08in May 27 at 7:01

No I didnt add PPA, but changing the software server helped. –  newcode May 27 at 8:45
