I have the following resolutions:

cyrex@cyrex:~$ xrandr
xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output
default Screen 0: minimum 320 x 240, current 1280 x 1024, maximum 1680 x 1050

1400x1050 88.0
1280x1024 89.0*
1280x960 52.0

Am using right now 10280x1024 but how can I change to another resolution via xrandr since typing xrandr -s X where X is the number of the resolution does not work corretly. For example 0 works, but 1,2,3,4,5... do not, but then 8 or 9 work and the rest do not. Stuff like this. I have an Nvidia 9600 with the Proprietary Drivers that install from jockey.
