No problem working fine wirelessly with any WiFi router under Natty, but a Comtrend ADSL2+ router from Telefónica (Spain). The Ralink RT2860 sees the router, understands it is WEP and asks for the 128 bits alphanum key, but never connects.

try the dmesg command to get some more information about what is happening. dmesg shows the entire kernel log, so you are only interested in the last few lines of the output during the time the connection is failing. – user1974 May 31 '11 at 14:47

it might just be a bug with network manager and ipv6. Try disabling ipv6

I know I am having a similar bug, and there is a bug report. I can look that up if you like, but try disabling ipv6 first, and see how that goes.
