I am trying to enable 3D hardware acceleration for my Windows XP guest on my Ubuntu 14.04 host. 2D acceleration works on any driver. My system specs are:

  • Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6450
  • Motherboard: Intel D915GEV
  • Processor: Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz

When I have fglrx installed and active, Virtualbox says that my hardware is not compatible. But when I have xserver-xorg-video-radeon driver active, 3D acceleration works.

What I should do to make 3D acceleration work on FGLRX (Yes, I know I can use open-source drivers, but I don't want them)?
