I'm trying to install MonoDevelop v4 on Ubuntu 12.04, so that I can install MonoGame v3.x.

When installing from the Software Centre version is installed.

I followed the Option 1 solution in Damien's answser here, but got the following error code when running ./configure

configure: error: Package requirements (mono-addins-setup >= 0.4) were not met:

No package 'mono-addins-setup' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you installed software >in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables MONO_ADDINS_SETUP_CFLAGS and >MONO_ADDINS_SETUP_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config. See the pkg-config man >page for more details.

Does anyone know where I'm going wrong? Or have another solution I could try?
