Every time I boot my system running Ubuntu 12.04, I get a black screen instead of my designated wallpaper. Can anyone shed light on the cause and suggest a remedy?

What is the location of the image image you have set as you wallpaper? Is the partition where it is, mounted on boot? –  i08in Mar 2 '14 at 6:47
@Jobin The image is stored in the designated pictures folder located within home folder. And yes the partition is mounted on boot. –  user234815 Mar 6 '14 at 12:31
