I have Ubuntu 13.04 installed on my laptop. When ever I try open Videos directory [default directory under ~ , not manually created] via UI it closes immediately. But i can play videos in that directory via terminal. What is the matter with that particular directory [/home/user/Videos/] ...?

If you open Nautilus in that directory with the terminal, do you see any messages logged (nautilus ~/Videos)? –  konapun Feb 26 '14 at 16:38
This looks like a problem with thumbnailing. Please check this Q&A: askubuntu.com/questions/394945/why-does-nautilus-unity-crash if it helps. –  falconer Feb 26 '14 at 16:46
Thanks... I had a mp4 file with 0KB, I removed it and everything is fine. –  user252614 Feb 27 '14 at 12:44
