Video Download Helper is the best.

This has worked best for me too. They just need to make a Chrome extension now and I'm set. :) – boehj May 14 '11 at 2:46
I'm waiting for the Chrome extension too. Video Download Helper is really the best one out there. – Vicky Chijwani May 14 '11 at 8:50

There is also youtube-dl. It's a command-line tool. The best feature of this tool is that it can accept a batch file as input. Besides this, it has many other features.

Be sure to install the latest stable version, not the one in the Software Center. Link:

Sample working:

youtube-dl -ica -o "%(title)s.%(ext)s"
