I bought the WinTV-HVR 950q because it was reported to be Linux compatible. I cannot get the tuner to work in Ubuntu. The tuner works great in the Vista partition, but I want to get away from Windows. I tried using the info at http://ak33m.com/?p=211. When attempting to scan this message comes up..

w_scan version 20111203 (compiled for DVB API 5.4) using settings for UNITED STATES ATSC VSB US/CA, DVB-T TW frontend_type ATSC, channellist 1 output format czap/tzap/szap/xine WARNING: could not guess your codepage. Falling back to 'UTF-8' output charset 'UTF-8', use -C to override Info: using DVB adapter auto detection. main:3079: FATAL: NO USEABLE ATSC CARD FOUND. Please check wether dvb driver is loaded and verify that no dvb application (i.e. vdr) is running.
