I'm using Ubuntu 13.10 with default Unity. I'd like to install another taskbar (dzen2) to be docked somewhere on the screen. I start it with 'dzen2 -dock' but the rest of the windows in Unity don't seem to know it's there, and appear under the dock (obscuring themselves) rather than appearing below the dock (kind of like how other windows don't get obscured by the default taskbar in Unity across the top of the screen).

How can I get third-party docking programs to work with Unity?
