I have a laptop and a netbook connected via ad-hoc. If I try and share files between them the transfer rate never goes above 100kB/s. That's slower than if I try and download from the internet. It's faster to upload the files to and ftp server on one and then download on the other. Is there any way to speed up file transfers on a local network?
