I'm very new to Ubuntu and I am having a problem.

My WIFI for some reason keeps disconnecting and then cannot reconnect unless I shutdown or suspend. Then it stays for a bit and it's gone again. I'm running a Toshiba Satellite L500.

sudo lshw -C network -numeric

Are you using the generic driver or the one downloaded and compiled from Realtek's website? If using the first one, install the one supplied by Realtek –  the_Seppi Jan 24 at 21:52
