I have been very interested in giving Sabayon (profile editor) a try but I cannot seem to get it working properly.

After installing it via "sudo apt-get install sabayon", I am able to open it via "sudo sabayon". I create a profile, but whenever I click the Edit button I get the following error:

Sabayon Error

I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue, or does anyone know if there is some sort of fix?

Here is the log file for the error that was located in /root:

This configuration for the debug log can be re-created
by putting the following in /etc/sabayon/sabayon-debug-log.conf
(use ';' to separate domain names):

[debug log]
max lines = 1000

Could you please open the log it mentions and look for errors and include it in your post? This message is too generic for me to find anything interesting! –  Rinzwind May 6 '11 at 17:42

@Rinzwind Looks like that might be one of the problems, I have no sabayon-debug-log.conf in /etc/sabayon. I'm not seeing anything pertinent in /var/log either. All I have in /etc/sabayon is a profiles folder. –  Ryan Miller May 6 '11 at 17:52

I get the same error as you after installing sabayon, I suggest you bug the maintainer ;-) –  Rinzwind May 6 '11 at 18:14

I can confirm this on 11.04 amd64. Please file a bug: bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sabayon/+filebug –  Mark Russell May 6 '11 at 18:16

Voting to close here as this should be filed as a bug report, (Mark or Rinzwind, don't forget to mark his bug as Confirmed in the tracker after he files it!) –  Jorge Castro May 7 '11 at 15:02
