Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I use this command:

sudo grep -R 'mode_t st_mode'

but have many alerts that say many files do not exist.

grep: /usr/share/pyshared/numpy/core/include/numpy/cfunc.h: do not have that file or directory.
....
grep: /usr/share/omf/totem/totem-uk.omf: do not have that file or directory.

there are many similar alerts.

How should I solve this problem?

and one person say should use "sudo grep -R 'mode_t st_mode' /* 2>dev/null" to cut the noise.

but my question is , how to delete those invalid file? one by one ?
