How do if correct graphics issues in 11.04. After I upgraded, I noticed immediate changes in the way graphics are displayed. Videos in the firefox browser are choppy at best with random white squares bouncing about (maybe a flash issue? ) and when I have a graphics heavy program -blender, flightgear, running in the background and if I open firefox or swithc between programs the screen starts to flash between the two programs.
I have used the compiz config manager and turned off sync to vblank, I use the classic desktop (cannot stand unity)
My system uses a gigabyte mobo with AMD phenom 2 quadcore-3.4Ghz with 16G ram The graphics is onboard ATI radeon hd4250 with installed driver fglrx. I did a test and my results were
james@Andromeda-II:~$ /usr/lib/nux/unity_support_test -p OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc. OpenGL renderer string: ATI Radeon HD 4250 OpenGL version string: 3.3.10665 Compatibility Profile Context Not software rendered: yes Not blacklisted: yes GLX fbconfig: yes GLX texture from pixmap: yes GL npot or rect textures: yes GL vertex program: yes GL fragment program: yes GL vertex buffer object: yes GL framebuffer object: yes GL version is 1.4+: yes Unity supported: yes
No graphics issues occured in 10.10. Is there a fix in 11.04 or do I downgrade? I've already run the "Additional Drivers" tool.
