Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

After downloading Ubuntu 12.04.3, I proceed to restart my system and receive an error message. It basically says there an error with the file: ubuntu/winboot (not exact). Either there is an error or it's corrupted. I've tried removing and downloading several times with no luck.

I have not been able to boot with Ubuntu. Please HELP!

I am using an ASUS N56V with Windows 7 64 bit. My hard drive has 3 partitions; C: main drive, B: blank drive (potentially ubuntu); and E:backup.
