I tried to install Ubuntu 12.04.3.Windows 7 was preinstalled. When I was resizing the ntfs partition, an error ocurred,and windows 7 doesn't boot anymore! I have windows xp cd, runned chkdisc but it only boots the repair system and can't fix!!
Please help. Urgent!

After a resize Windows 7 needs chkdsk, but I think you have to run it from Windows 7 repair CD or flash, not XP as it use ntldr not bootmgr. And PBR -partition boot sector, which needs the update needs the correct boot loader reference. –  oldfred Dec 22 '13 at 5:28
