To best way to learn how to use Ubuntu, is by simply exploring your system. And then if you are having any difficulties and needs more help, refer the following.

I guess you're using Ubuntu?

You shouldn't have to install any drivers because most of them are baked into the (Linux) kernel. Do you have any components (WiFi, Ethernet, ...) that don't work. Or do you expect that you will need to install them? Because, like I said that's not needed in most cases.

About the manual or books. I actually don't know.
