This is per this discussion on meta. Could someone with permission to create tags create a faq tag and add it to this? – keithjgrant Apr 29 '11 at 19:17
Please make this into a Jeopardy style question. Where the information is actually in an answer, and not in the question body. – Marco Ceppi Apr 29 '11 at 19:32
Not a useful question. There are so much things you might want to know. Or not - depending on your hardware, on the reasons you use a computer, on possible experiences with other OS's. – user unknown Apr 29 '11 at 21:39
It should be noted that a lot of information that would be useful to beginners comes with the operating system. Pressing the Super (Windows) key and searching for "Help" in the dash brings up the Ubuntu Desktop Guide, which is a good source of offline information. – WarriorIng64 Mar 10 at 1:21
