Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I am using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and when i try to connect my iPhone i get the following message.

The device 'Mithun's iPhone' is locked. Enter the passcode on the device and click 'Try Again'.

I get this despite the iPhone unlocked. I also get a message on my phone asking "Trust this computer? " which keeps repeating even after selecting Trust.

Along with the above message I also get

Unable to mount Mithun's iPhone

DBus error org.freedesktop,DBus.Error.NoReply:Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)

Please help me out.

Thanks, Mithun

Not gonna happend any time soon, and you got even less chances with an old distro version. Everytime ubuntu is released, it supports to at least mount the current iOS devices but every time Apple updates iOS they are making sure you only use it with apple software.

You could try to manualy upgrade libimovile decive wich is the library that comunicates with iOS http://www.libimobiledevice.org/
