My System76 notebook has been rock solid since I bought it about 10 months ago, I did a fresh install of 13.10 64bit, without issues. Everything was working just as it should, until about 2 weeks ago, when I began to have a problem with wifi.

Upon resuming by opening the notebook lid, I get the normal prompt for a password, and upon unlocking, networking is disconnected. I attempt to re-establish connection by hitting the wifi icon/enable networking, nothing. At this point I attempt a reboot by clicking the power icon/restart. I get the prompt to restart, even I confirm, then nothing.

I have to hard shutdown to reboot. This again doesn't happen every time I suspend/resume. If that isn't enough, now I'm having an issue with the trackpad intermittently freezing, which again needs a hard reboot to rectify.

I have the current system76-drivers installed, and haven't had this issue with any previous Ubuntu release.

How can I resolve this ?

Maybe this askubuntu.com/a/375503/16395 can help you. –  Rmano Nov 22 '13 at 17:20
Are you still using 13.10? If not, try and upgrade to 14.04 and see if the problem persists. If not, then see if you can post a screenshot of your Networking Menu. –  Ian Santopietro Aug 6 at 21:36
