i followed the instruction given in the sourceforge forum but it didn't work.Pls tell me some solutions.

cd xdman/
chmod +x 
./ 2: ./ java: not found
sudo ./
[sudo] password for nishant: 
./ 2: ./ java: not found

How can i resolve this?

Install OpenJDK since it seems java isn't present on your system.

simply type in OpenJDK into ubuntu software center, and you can install it from there – Nick Jan 12 '14 at 16:46
