Welcome to Ask Ubuntu. I'd say it should work out-of-the-box. As in: you plug-in the cable and it should build up a connection. Please edit your question and give us some details what you have tried so far and what didn't work as expected. Also open a terminal (hit Ctrl + Alt + t) and tell us what lspci and what lsusb gives you. Also please update your question title to something more descriptive. –  MadMike Nov 14 '13 at 10:54
